wow...how slack have i been.....havent posted for ages....but am back again.

Have been working on some hexagons done with sashiko to add into a hexagon oriental quilt. Am still quilting my round robin....about a third of the way through it....but plan to get stuck back into it now the weather has cooled down.

Have made three hexagons bags...one for my mum, one for me, and one for a spare when i need a pressie in a hurry.....lolol

We had a whale and her calf in the bay last week end , which was great.

Today we have a friend from Crafters Cupboard and SCQ and her hubby coming to stay. We stayed with Annie and Ian when we were on our way over to Perth late last year. Lots of fabric shopping planned...well in what fabric shops we have...but can go to Ulladulla and to Berry. We will also do some site seeing around the area, so will put up a couple of pics when all is done.

Still no date set for the big day.....though we do have the ring now YAY !!!!!!! but hopefully some time this year....time permitting....rofl....

Well, that is about all for now....

wooohooo !!!!! made it to the big five - O !!! And what a way to celebrate !!

Rob took me off on a surprise weekend....stayed at the Esplanade Motor in at Batemans Bay...had a suite overlooking the bay. It was great...very relaxing....and the strawberries and champers in the spa was great. On sunday we went off to the Mogo Zoo and saw the white lion cubs....they are so cute you just want to smuggle them home.....
We had dinner one night at the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club....if ever you are there ... trust me...the food is to die for.....

Great pressies....quilt from Annie (melbourne) and Jane (tumby) will post a pic...though i dont think it looks anything like me.....but what great friends....couldnt do better !!!

And...Rob popped the question....lolol ... only took eight years...but hey......better late than never !!!!! Of course i did the obligatory.... *have to think about it* rolf...for about two seconds..then said yes !!! No date set yet....but stay tuned.

Have been busy today handquilting some more of the round robin quilt from Picking Up Threads that we did last year....am adding some applique as i go.....as it was fairly plain before...but it is looking good so far......

This is a pic of a quilt i finished handquilting last month...is called * Windmills of my Mind * a design by Janine Matthews. I really enjoyed doing it...and just love the colours as well.....very happy with the way it turned out.....

Hope everyone had a great easter...and didnt over indulge in those lovely gooey choccy eggs....and hot cross buns.....

Well....today is the day i am starting my blog....my aim is to have it set up by the end of the day....so we shall see how i go....

I am having a *UFO* year......i am trying to lower my ufo count....a losing battle some might say...lolol.....

So far this year i have finished *Rufus* the dog kit that i purchased while in Perth last year..

He is a real cutey...and i am currently working on *The Furball Family* cats..

I have also finished two quilt tops and am working on a third to have finished hopefully by the end of this month....but we shall see...lol
